KEERWEDER WEATHER STATION

Keerweder maintains a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro-2 scientific weather station that digitally records the following weather indicators: temperature, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, humidity, barometric pressure, heat index, wind chill, dewpoint and temperature-humidity-wind index.

The station collects data which is sent via a wireless link to its consol, connected to the Keerweder computer. It sends data every 30 minutes, summarizes this information and automatically produces reports.

NamibRand Safaris operates a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro-2 scientific weather station at the Wolwedans base

DIE DUINE WEATHER STATION

The Namib Desert Environmental Education Trust (NaDEET) maintains an Oregon Scientific WMR 200 Professional weather station at the Die Duine homestead. NaDEET are the custodians of this weather station, which was purchased by the NamibRand Nature Reserve to compliment the collection of scientific weather data on the Reserve.
